First Seed Catalogs to Arrive

I've been out of town for the last week moving my mom into a new town in Arizona and new retirement community - which is fabulous! (Another blogsworth). Anyway, several weeks ago in my AMG class at Thanksgiving Point, the topic was on Heirloom Vegetable Sources. Our reknowned teacher, Larry Sagers, talked about and passed around samples of seed catalogs. I know that I said we would focus on planting warm weather plantings this year, but I just couldn't help the desire to get some catalogs of my own.

So the week before I took my trip I went on line and Googled "Vegetable Seed Catalogs", I should say FREE vegetable seed catalogs (well, what with the economy, trying to be frugal, ... :) ) From there I did a little research and found a half dozen or so catalogs to request. And now they are arriving! Seems a little like Christmas!

Can't wait to go through them. Hmm, looks like Burpee has a $5.00 off coupon - hope it's not too late! I'll probably still get my seeds from the Mountain Valley Seed Company, but it's sure fun to take a look see in the catalogs!

Bye for now.
